Great Cattle Dog Muster

Great Cattle Dog Muster

Updated announcements 14/05/2020

From the Club:

We are sad to announce that the Great Australian Cattle Dog Muster will not take place as scheduled in September of this year. The Australian Cattle Dog Society of NSW in conjunction with the Muswellbrook Chamber of Commerce will reschedule the event on 10th – 12th September 2021.
With the current state of play it is not yet known if such an event could be held. We have had much excitement and interest from around Australia and internationally that the expected attendance would far exceed public gathering restrictions found in the 3 step framework for a CovidSafe Australia announced by the Government. There are also still currently limitations on interstate and international travel, and it would be a shame for all of those who had planned to attend to have to miss out if it were feasible. We hope that by announcing the postponement early it will ease the anxiety of uncertain travel plans.
Whilst this is a disappointing situation, the health and safety of the community is paramount. We hope with the extra time on our hands we can bring you an even “bigger and better” inaugural event next year. So, save September 2021 for us!

From the Muswellbrook Chamber of Commerce:

As a result of the restrictions surrounding COVID-19 and their flow-on affects, the Muswellbrook Chamber of Commerce & Industry, on advice from the event's Organising Committee, has decided to cancel this years Great Cattle Dog Muster which was due to be held 11-th 13th September. The even will now be moved to the 10th-12th September next year.

As announced in the Muswellbrook Chronicle the first ever Cattle Dog Muster will take place in Muswellbrook 2020. It is an initiative between the Muswellbrook Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Australian Cattle Dog Society of NSW.

It is scheduled from the 11th to the 13th of September.

More details are to follow as planning progresses.
